Hypothermia.

Hypothermia
Hypothermia is when the core body temperature drops to a level where normal brain and muscle function is impaired at or below 35៰C. When the body cannot bear it, it goes into survival mode which is not good, shutting down non- essential functions. Hypothermia occurs when the body can’t make up for the amount of heat loss.

Prevent hypothermia.
Want to know how to prevent hyperthermia?
If you have damp or wet cloths take them off immediately or drink heaps of hot liquids, if you are going tramping make sure nothing is leaking because the it will make your bag wet and then your back.

signs / symptoms.
Hyperthermia has signs t also hat help you know when there got it such as: shivering, slow shallow breathing, confusion and memory loss, drowsiness or exhaustion, slurred or mumbled speech.

Treating hypothermia.
It is possible to treat hypothermia by doing these thing: Remove any wet cloths, protect the person from any wind, drafts and further heat loss. Move the person gently to a warm dry shelter as soon as possible and you can also let them rest by a fire or offer them a hot drink.

Cold shock
Cold shock is when a person is rapidly chilled, e.g. falling into cold water. Hypothermia is not immediate concern as the core takes up to 30 minutes to become hypothermic.
Several reactions happen when suddenly immersed all of a sudden in cold water or chilled water.
  • Uncontrolled gasping.
  • Hyperventilation.
  • Loss of coordination.
  • Blood is shutted.
  • Hard skin.

Conclusion.
Always wear warm clothes and be aware of bad chills or cold water, especially if you're on a snowy or high hill.

My favorite thing in the holidays.

Bye see you in a couple of hours! I say to my mum as we walk into the movies. It has been a long time since we have been to the movies. It is nice and cool in the foyer of the Havelock movies, I think they have air conditioning. “wto tickets for iron man 3! please”, Ethan says in excitement. “Umm do you have shoes here” The Lady says behind her desk to Ethan.
No, Ethan says. I was a little embarrassed, then decided to nudge him on the shoulder but the lady voice cut me off: “Well you need to make sure you bring shoes next time because we can get sued. Like when you walk up the steps or if you accidentally step on litter like glass.” “ OK” Ethan says, sounding like he doesn't really care that much. We lean closer to ask for some food.

“can I please get a toblerone and a kit kat.”, I say, waiting for her to take my money i put on the counter. “ ummm can i get.....” Ethan's voice fades as I start heading to the Hall way. After a few seconds he comes rushing like a little boy that's getting ditched. We have our heads high observing the signs above the doors for a sign that says Iron Man 3. I push open a Big bright red door, no squeak no nothing, as if they just put the door in an hour ago.

We walk up the steps trying to think of a good seat. Finally we find a spot one. I walk down the ile and pound my but on a seat, Ethan follows. I sit my food in the drink holder just like Ethan. Arghhhh. The seats were kind of comfy I have sat in better ones before but I was just looking forward to the movie. My eyes glued to the giant pounding screen as if it was stuck to my eyes!

The movie starts finally with a loud arghhh, then I realise its just an advertisement. Parana, it looked quite scary to me and Ethan.
2 hours later..........
“That was a great movie, it was cool how it had those helicopters and they blew up Tony house” I say in excitement, to Ethan! Ethan was also astonished how expensive the tickets were.
HI MUM! ......

John Roil

John Roil is a very outdoors man, he goes on a lot of tramps and bush walks. He is very adventurous.

if you ever get lost stay put and don't go out because searches will look a mile away, so stay in the safe zone.

John has heaps of equipment. He packs appropriate things and manages his pack very well. He takes equipment such as 2 plastic bags, woolen shirts, first aid kit, comfortable shoes, a water bottle, bivvy bag, windbreaker, gas bottle, big wool socks, shelter, a map, a tent, a sleeping bag, a raincoat and some food in a bily.

There are rules about bush walks and tramping. There is a code known as the five outdoor safety code. Plan your trip, tell someone, be aware of the weather, know your limits and take sufficient supplies.

John had lots of training and also worked in the army force. So that means he is well experienced

N E S W: this is the directions of a compass. The sun rises in the east and sets in the west
The moos always is south too. These help you if you are lost and have no searches looking for you and if you're really lost.

There are also been situations that John has had to use STAR (stop, think, assess, respond)
These are very helpful in the bush.

He also told us to start of with really packed and warm clothes and the as you start to get hotter take the layers off.
