Flexibility test....

We had to do a test to see everyones flexibility, we had to sit down and put our feet against a box with a negative and positive ruler on it.

In our first test I came second, so in my group I was the second most flexible. But in our second test I improved but everyone else improved more, I came last.

Before we done our second we done some training we had about 30 laminated cards with different exercises on them. When Mrs Roil says swap we go round in a circle doing different exercises.

Those exercises would have helped improve our flexibility. When you do the stretches you have to hold then for a long time to make the stretch work. Thats why athletes take heaps of time to train and get good.

John Roil

John Roil is a very outdoors man, he goes on a lot of tramps and bush walks. He is very adventurous.

if you ever get lost stay put and don't go out because searches will look a mile away, so stay in the safe zone.

John has heaps of equipment. He packs appropriate things and manages his pack very well. He takes equipment such as 2 plastic bags, woolen shirts, first aid kit, comfortable shoes, a water bottle, bivvy bag, windbreaker, gas bottle, big wool socks, shelter, a map, a tent, a sleeping bag, a raincoat and some food in a bily.

There are rules about bush walks and tramping. There is a code known as the five outdoor safety code. Plan your trip, tell someone, be aware of the weather, know your limits and take sufficient supplies.

John had lots of training and also worked in the army force. So that means he is well experienced

N E S W: this is the directions of a compass. The sun rises in the east and sets in the west
The moos always is south too. These help you if you are lost and have no searches looking for you and if you're really lost.

There are also been situations that John has had to use STAR (stop, think, assess, respond)
These are very helpful in the bush.

He also told us to start of with really packed and warm clothes and the as you start to get hotter take the layers off.

Production Diary....!

Dear Diary,

Hello my name is Samuel and I am a advert designer followed with Matthew, Sami, Teva and Jack. Our add is STATE!

Day One
I’m on the seat looking ahead of me and seeing empty space. “While we are waiting we will take a quick commercial break”, Casey says. Jack gets up and walks forward Matthew and I follow. I thought it will -not actually be that bad. “Tonight I crashed into the poultry queen” , I heard Jack singing. I just waited and waited till my part was on, wait it already is my part!
I quickly sing: “I just woke up from the strangest dream, my house was robbed around me broke in and didn't rouse me, they stole my favourite thing my big TV!”

“Call the police man first then call the team at State. Ain't nothing gonna break my stride oh no state will keep you moving!”
“Call 0800 4 state”, Jack said in a lady voice.
I waited and finally the day was over!

Day Two
Matthew, Jack and I arrived in the hall and straight away got on the seat, it was sad that Sami and Teva were away. “Advertisment one!” Ms Hill yeled. we got up and done it very fast before we knew it, it was done. I did it without even thinking!

Day Three
We work on our sound and I do my same cool expression when I say they stole my favourite thing, my big TV! We are performing to the parents and we also have Sami and Teva with us, which is great because we have not had them with us because Teva was sick and Sami was in Auckland.

Day Four
I am performing to my parents and family tonight and I am performing to the school today!
“Ok go line up outside to go the hall.” , Mr Moriarty informed. So I lined up and the class went to the hall.(we had a little bit of fun before that):3

My Autumn poem

Autumn leaves
4/5/12
When the wind blows like a parachute catching all the air

The sun would glimmer  behind the trees like glitter.

The leaves blow low down as pieces blow off the leaf into the cold autumn air and gets in people's eyes.

The temperature cools down and the trees rustle.
Winter comes the trees are bare,
No leaves.
