Minecraft club competition: Sky islands - With Ethan and JJ...

------------------------Minecraft Quests (1) -------------------------------------------

This is quest one .... Group members: | JJ | Ethan |

For minecraft quests, JJ, Ethan and I chose to build sky islands....
They have bridges going to other islands. All of us built an island with a house on it, then I made the clock tower with JJ, then I made the food market. When I wasn't online JJ made a PVP arena!

Basic facts test results

This is my basic facts test results on a bar graph, I think that this is the best way to publish my results to the web. It is actually easy to find out how I improved. I think this is the best way to publish my results.

My basic facts test results on a pie graph....

This is my Basic Facts Test Results on a pie graph. I did this to show my results to people. I do not think this is the best way to present my results though as it is hard to find out if I improved and its difficult to tell whether I got 10 out of 10 or not.

The Wolf In The Wardrobe is a book about a boy called Finn that went to a circus with his dad and his dads girlfriend. There was a creepy clown that had a taszer and was threatening to kill two wolfs. One of the wolfs escaped from the circus and Finn found him. Ever since that Finn was taking care of the wolf he named Lupa, all of his school friends didn't believe him. He hid Lupa in his house not letting his mum find out but one day he came home from school, there he was on Finns bed with his nana. His nana had Alzheimer's and thought Lupa was her old Irish dog Molly. Still his mum did not know.

The police came round and told his mum that he had seen a missing dog around their property and street. His mum wasn't very pleased and shut the door on his face. Then finally Finns mother new but although she knew, she thought it was a dog not wolf......

My holiday

My Holiday
“Bump, Bump” goes my grandads van as we go down the vast road to Taupo. I get very badly carsick and I hate long drives. I have travelled all the way from Invercargill to Hastings. I used to live in Hastings then I moved there, then finally I came back. My favourite way to travel is in a plane. “grrrr” I grone mumbling as I start to get groggy. Grandad gets car sick too thats why he loves my company. My aunty lives in Taupo thats why we are going to visit her because she will be moving back soon, so we decided to spend time in Taupo with her before she leaves. I have been to Taupo before in the last holidays, I enjoyed it and It was a treasured memory.

“Hey do you see that?”, My grandad verbalizes. “oh yeah, wow thats amazing, it looks like candy floss” I confirm as I gaze at the tremendously sunken clouds that look like candy floss all pink and bright. “That is really weird” I say wondering how it happened. I keep on waiting as we get closer and closer to Taupo. “Hey look theres some buildings in the distance” I recite delightedly. “That must be Taupo” Grandad yaks. We drive through through to the sudden interpretation of a cell phone “ding ring bing bing” it rings, “oh that'll be mine, can you get that please?”my grandad mutters. “Sure” I say. “Hello Sam speaking” I say politely. “Hello sam, i'll meet you at my work bye” my aunty yelps happily. “Bye” I confirm. “She wants us to meet her at her work” I tell grandad. “Ok” he says. So we start our mission to aunt's work. “Lets go” I say

UNCLE

“G’day mate” my Uncle would say in imitation of ozzies. My Uncle lives in brisbane, sadly I do not get to see him that much. He used to work in Perth in the mines fixing diggers, trucks and giant big excavators . He often is getting oily and dirty, but I do not care if he smells or is dirty. One day he fixed a fire engine while he was in New Zealand. Although he is older than me he can be like a best friend to me. He is always willing to help my family.

My Uncle behaves quite cheeky, although he is cheeky he can actually be really mature and sensible. Uncle behaves good in front of people and businesses. He is always willing to help my family. He is very generous and very caring. He can act like a child sometimes, but that is when he is being silly.

My Uncles reputation is keeping to something and never give up. People like my mum thinks he is a great person. His friends would love to do something fun with him, even I know that he is really entertaining and a great person to hang out with. The way he affects other people is great! He always makes people feel treasured and good inside. He warms up peoples hearts.

He comes to New Zealand some times to visit and spoils me, one day he bought me a MGP scooter..He loves to have a laugh every now and then, another thing he likes to do is wind me up in funny ways. I have got to say he is confident with machines and computers and how things work. A great, awesome and really fantastic thing he has done once in his life is when he parachuted out of a plane and oh man he told my mum that he was terrified especially when the pilot asked him to steer the plane.

It is simple to see what my Uncle treasures and loves. He takes allot of things around with him like his portable hard drive and especially his laptop. He takes very good care of his laptop because it is one of the most special things in his life. I like his laptop too. He also most definitely treasures his IPhone 5, its brand new. Only 1 month old. It is as if his laptop and IPhone 5 is a baby that he takes care of just like a mother! He has always been like this and personally I think he takes good care of things more than anyone else in my family.

One of his personal things to say is “G’day mate” and that is what makes me remember him!

Art with Mrs Morton

A couple of weeks ago mrs Morton came to teach us more about art we started off with simple sketching, then we done some examples of techniques in our art book such as smooth and even, shade to tint, dry brush, glaze / wash, blending, outline and impasto. I did know how to do smooth and even but I learnt heaps more. I am not very good at art so I know i needed this help, after a few weeks we started a master-piece. At the top for the sky we put a vast yellow glaze wash. This did not take very long, well not for me anyway. Glaze is a very good artist technique. After that we had to do smooth and even for the top set of hills. The next part we had to do dry brush so first we done a simple smooth and even layer of yellow then wait a while to add black or white (Keep the brush dry while painting the black or white). The water needed an outline so we continued doing that, I think we need a little more practice . FInally we done the front rock a sort of blending technique, I like blending, its looks really cool when we blend. It is really great, I love it when Mrs Morton comes in because I really need the extra
